"QHOP has been like a training ground for me, a place where I am rigorously learning every aspect of what it means to "adhere to the Spirit in prayer and petition for all the saints." When I first came, I was very immature, not knowing the way of true prayer. I did it with my emotions and understanding only, and was not attuned to the will of the God. But in later watches, God taught me the right way, and "poured out his spirit on me, making His words known to me." And now I am no longer the same. His Spirit compels me to pray at all pivotal moments, so that His will can be performed; and He does not leave me alone! It requires much laying down, and endurance too, yet I find myself LOVING and ENJOYING it MORE AND MORE, as my will is being transformed after His own."

"In the time I have been involved in the Youth Watch of the Queens House of Prayer in Flushing the Lord has really grown a spirit of intercession in me. I have always known the power of prayer, but I am seeing that there is something so much more powerful that comes forth when the people of God wait upon Him and pray as His Spirit leads. When this happens people are changed and God is gloriously lifted high! Every watch is different, but the Spirit is truly the same. Every time we meet to pray for the youth the Lord releases new prayers and promises for this generation that make me stand in total awe of His power and love. After every meeting I’m left with a desire to pray so much more!

I directly attribute the transformation and growing interest I have seen in my own youth and children’s group to the prayers of many, including the youth watch. God has done such an incredible work in them and I know that it has everything to do with people praying! In one particular meeting I remember we began to pray that the youth would not be controlled by the spirit of fear and doubt when praying, but that they would be bold! The next Saturday one of the kids from my children’s group who refused to utter even one word of prayer for years finally prayed!! If that isn’t a direct answer to prayer, then I don’t know what is! God loves to see us change for His glory, and I am convinced that it is in the place of prayer and intercession where that change happens! "
